ABOUT ME

My name is Charlotte Elliott and I am an Ofsted registered chidminder in Brighton, I live on Freshfield Road just behind Queens Park.

 

I live with my partner Alex and my Son Zachary who was born in July 2014. I have a calm boxer dog called Merlin, he will only be at my home part time as I share him with my sister. He has always had children round him and is very good with Zachary. Please see my pet policy for more information.



We live in a Ground floor flat which has just had a basement conversion, so the minding areas are spread across the living room, playroom/Zac's room and kitchen and soon to be courtyard garden. See photo.

 

I registered as a childminder in April and have had children ever since and I am loving my new career. Before becoming a childminder I worked in travel as a duty manager for an airline at Gatwick, then as a travel consultant for American Express.  When I found out of was pregnant I decided I wanted to change careers and become a childminder. I have always loved children and being on maternity leave finally gave me the chance I needed to do the training course provided by PACEY and apply to Ofsted

 

I am Criminal record checked (DBS) hold a valid paediatric first aid certificate (renewed every 3 years) and have public liability insurance.

 

I live close to the centre of town and regularly take the children out, we visit the beach, parks, libary's, children’s groups and many more, the children will do exciting and new things every week. I drive, so sometimes I take the children out to places like Washbrooks farm, soft play and countryside places to explore. I love messy play and baking so this plays an important part of our week.
